Collaborating with referring professionals, our clinical experience gives us an advantage in efficiently learning the factors contributing to a student’s struggles.
We travel extensively and have personally toured over hundreds of schools and programs. As Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, we credit our clinical training and experience in deepening our understanding of a student’s needs and in formulating appropriate treatment options. We also look at ways to support a family while their child is in treatment.
Based the individualized assessments of a student’s needs, and our professional assessment of the different programs, we help guide parents in choosing the best options for their child and family at large.
We track a student's progress
We will track a student’s progress in treatment. Again, our clinical experience helps us understand well the treatment goals established by the program. We do this by having weekly phone calls with the student’s treatment therapist and staying abreast of changes or developments in the student’s progress.
From the onset of treatment, we are mindful of supporting a good return home by helping parents understand the need for a parallel process of change. We help design supportive aftercare recommendation to help the student and their family when they return home.
We help students and families dealing with issues such as:
- Drug or alcohol abuse
- Social concerns
- School failure or refusal
- Oppositional and defiant
- PTSD / trauma
- Low self esteem
- Autistic spectrum /NLD
- Adoption / attachment issues
- Family conflict
- Loss and grief
- Learning differences
